We popped into an antique shop after picking up a vintage filing cabinet for my wife and found a leather case for the camera that kicked off all of my collecting. £5 all in for the Duaflex ii. I just spent 15 mins hunting through four large containers for my Diax and then found it in a camera bag.

Been tinkering with the Diax 1a again. Managed to get in to the shutter this time and managed to fix it! The little lever at the three o'clock position wasn't moving at all. I guess this has something to do with the shutter speeds. I gave it a flush of lighter fluid and a drop of oil and it freed up. I also found three rolls of Jessops film and four roll of Kodak Colour Plus for £3.50 at the reuse shop too. Not a bad day overall.

Also got this from the antique centre, A Feuerhand Baby 275 storm lamp. Don't know why but I like it. From West Germany and has Jena glass. Handheld G1 with Olympus 28mm f2.8.

You can still buy them new on Amazon for about £22.

Definitely a nice lamp.
Finished the roll of XP2 that was in the Electro 35 over the weekend. Half a roll still in the Oly 35ED. That's next

XP2 is C41 isn't it? Got an XG2 on the way so I can nick the lens off it. Also ordered a new wick and some lamp oil so I can see if the lamp works or if it will be a display piece.

Yes, C41 so my local shop can do it in their machine. What's the lens on the XG2?
I just noticed John Goodman's kyphoto.com site has gone. That's a big loss if it has. It was great for repair guides and seal replacements

Just an MD 50mm f2. Want to keep the f1.7 on the X700 so bought the xg2. Fiver plus fiver post.

Well the XG2 was a bit of a bust, not sure if the body works or not but the lens is poor. It's got fungus and cleaning marks. Thought I'd strip it down but it's of pressed construction. Hey ho. Got another Canon Sureshot A1 and a Kiev 4 A for spares. Kiev had a bent shutter and wouldn't co.ck, but with some tweaking it fired and is light tight. Took the little circle of leather off for my other Kiev but other than a couple of missing screws it's good. No lens though, but any of you guys want it?
