Default I am a man of my word.....

therefore the R6 was cleaned today after i went for a hoon. I had a good duel with a R1, although i have to thank his reluctance to do much more than 120 in the straights kept me in the hunt.

Here is the proof:

I also discovered my rear is shot, although i knew it didn't have much left a while ago:

So i trip to Ride in Tyres is on the cards tomorrow. I'm thinking of BT021 or PR2 at the moment but feel free to suggest away.

This brings me on to my next point. I am going to switch the front even though it has loads left in it, however i can't be assed to carry it/return in the car for it. Therefore does anyone want it, it is the standard Dunlop. Ape i offered it to you previously, feel free to pick it up if you want it. If you do let me know and i'll tell the bloke to expect you.

What time are you going to be there Ape?

If the SVs front is a 120/70 then you are welcome to mine. It still looks pretty new tbh.

The SV is a 120/60/17. Thanks for the offer though.

Mark, what are they charging for a pair of BT 021's...........

Am I right in thinking that these are the replacement for the 020's but with a harder compound in the middle for better "commuting"

I have no idea. I called but they closed at 3PM today for some reason.

I'm going to ask for fitted/balanced price on PR2/BT021 and get the cheapest, unless they offer me a crazy low price on something else.

The 021s are the tyre you described.

I'm getting some fitted this afternoon, about ?200 ride in/out. I know somewhere that would do it for ?190 but the route isn't as good.

The PR2 were more expensive, ?20-30 i think.

I've never been a massive fan of Michelins, so i would have gone for the BT021 anyway, unless they were a lot cheaper.

Hopefully the roads will dry out before i go.

That's a great price Mark. I paid about ?220 for a set of these over a year ago. I rate the 021 very highly. Great longevity and also still grippy enough for trackdays. I did the Nurburgring trip last May on a set of these and only changed them again 4 months ago.
