+1 the stove, if not for a heater if it does get cold.

Saying that I try not to camp anyway. However I kind of forgot about the AR til the day before so I had no choice

That could work in heating department but you might wanna be careful using it inside the tent.

This could be handy as well. We could fill it up with beer and place in the middle of the field . 25 litres should work nicely

Not quite, yours had a valve on every tube, that one is a single. Maybe just put yours on eBay and let me know!

I almost brought a stove for tea but it came down to lack of space again. As for keeping warm, be careful with using heaters in tents, I keep reading about people dying whilst camping due to carbon monoxide poisoning!

Oh and thanks for all the advice on sleeping bags, I've gone right off the idea despite it sounding romantic. Might try one of those 'pod' sleeping bags, more room albeit bulky for travel.

For a sleeping bag, I can't recomend Snugpak highly enough.
I have a Softie 10 and it was possibly a bit too warm. I reckon a Softie 6 would be ample. I had one years ago and found it excellent.
They are fairly lightweight and pack down small using the compression sacks.

The small propane gas stoves are brilliant for tea and hot dog heating.
Fold small with a mess tin and a set of clip together utensils its all you need.
3 season sleeping bag + a liner. fleece suffer in the bags sack as your pillow .
Wool hat .if you get cold put the fleece on.
Self inflating roll mats.as your lucky if an air bed stays puncture proof.
And lots of bin bags.

As for making a cuppa tea, anyone had any experience with the small solid fuel burners? http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...JMO_8wPgwq2oAw
Can imagine they take a long time to heat water compared to gas burners?

You mean Ape Face, my sis. Well she has a full bike licence obtained at 18. And never used since.

Only a matter of time before little menace James steals one of the bikes out of my garage after he's finished smashing up his own one.
