My usual scenic route from Maidenhead to Aylesbury picks up the A329 at Shillingford so, as your route to Maidenhead usually goes past there (I think), it'd make a logical spot to pick up any of the Oxford posse (rather than divert up to Fox's and head back down again)

urgh, the gf has just waded in with the old "you never do anything with me" argument, and so I might have to do National trusting on Sat and fix bike on Sunday. Possibly ride first on Sunday then fix it.

That argument's easily countered with "come up with something interesting for us to do together, and we can do it after 3pm on Sunday"

Or just kick her to the kerb - if she don't respec' you, how she ever gonna respec' herself?

I have a spare helmet she can borrow then if she doesn't want to pillion you can accuse her of not doing anything with you.....

Cambs? is that cambridgeshire or am i missin something? I like riding in the Fens cos there are no bloomin hedges to block your view.

Yep..... Got to end up in Huntingdon but would be rude not to have a proper meander while in the neighbourhood.

i knows it well. Spent four years drinking, er I mean studying up there. If you get the chance, there is a very nice technical stretch through some of the back roads and then a bit of open sweeping A roads back to Cambridge. Done a google map. Only a few min from Huntingdon too.
