KNOCK-KNOCK.............Gone!!!!!!!!!!
Hi people!
Thought I'd ride the bike a while before I let you all know the results of the work done to sort out the noise from front forks/suspension when ridden over bumps! Well I took it in to have the fork oil changed (Suzuki recommendation) under warranty. Clonk/knock/bonk noise has GONE! So I'm well happy now! The oil that was used is SUZUKI L01 fork oil! Thank you Premier,West wickham. |

Cool.
I have the clunking too....but I just tend to avoid the bumps. Can't really hear the clunk over the can anyway. |

I have no idea what grade the Suzuki L01 oil is,all I know is that it has sorted the problem.
You should all see the thread "KNOCK KNOCK" that I originally posted a little while ago! Hope this 'mod' works on everyone elses that try it. |

will have to try, but the knock knock noise on mine at the moment is the shagged link in the chain, hope to get a new one fitted tomorrow

I changed fork oil and springs and still retained the 'clunk' on hard bumps.
Does not occur anymore with my GSXR front end, my reasoning its the forks not the head bearings. |

Think that's part of the problem, there really are different causes for the clunk. Changing oil's fixed it for some peopel though before this, and tbh it's usually worth doing anyway, and it's cheap Or free in this case.
