Hairy Bikers Vs your biker TV show???
Was just watching the Hairy Bikers and thinking what I would like to see in a motorcycle tele show.
If it was my choice something along the lines of what these guys do but combine it with more on the journey, the planning and more on the actual adventure - i.e include more on the history of the destination and focus on a perfect road/journey. I think they breeze through it all a bit fast. I dont mind the cooking segment but maybe just do one meal. Another option would be to mix it up with another report/segment on either new bikes, local roads, biker cafes, local tracks - i.e some local at home euro-biker culture. Just wondered what your perferred tv bike show be about?? |

Re: Hairy Bikers Vs your biker TV show???
I don't know what it is about magazine style bike shows but every one I've seen makes me cringe to my boots. They seem to be hosted by fat neanderthals, male and female. They are full of crap too.
I think it's because biking is so individual to us that makes it difficult to make a pleasing programme. I'd like to see a different topic and host each week, racers, tourers, trail, police. Something for everyone then and no crappy heavy metal jingles between segments, just a good programme. |

Id like to see "Celebrity Wall of Death" carried out on R1s, on a tour of the world whilst eating the local delicacies, sheeps eyes etc, on the way.

They need to do a top gear for bikes. Hammond could even present it.

Re: Hairy Bikers Vs your biker TV show???
Sorry much as I love top gear, the trial of the next superbike thats 45K which none of us can afford would not be of interest to me. A good bike program that actually tests things like the Hyosung comet and other budget bikes alongside the Triumphs, Suzuki et al of this world would be of far more of interest with the exotic being a now and again item

Hammond - Street Boab
May - XgayR13 and ......... ..........V11 Guzzi . Clarkson - BSA summit amongst others. Ultimate Biker Challenge is a lot better than it sounds. Party Cycle is as bad as it sounds(but worth catching just for the terrible translation from french to franglais) |

I was fairly sure I read about Hammond buying a gixxxer in one of my old bike mags.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I really like the hairy bikers cook show! I like cooking, and those lads have a good sense of humour so it is good I reckon. |
