Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Was back at the hospital this afternoon to meet with the consultant, ankle not cardiac, and he said that the surgery and healing had gone really well. He then told me to ditch the crutches and just walk with the boot on . After a week or so like that I could then start walking without it, in regular shoes . I've got to go back to him in about six weeks but that should just be for him to discharge me. I should be able to drive soon, then I'll be ready to get on the bike (so long as I can get my right boot on!)
One down one to go. I go to see the cardiac consultant in a couple of weeks. That one could be a bit more serious though. Fingers crossed . |

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Cheers for that. I've just emailed them. If the price is right I could have a little project on my hands

Just got a message back and they want £750 delivered. I think it will have to wait for a while

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Breakers always charge top dollar.
Check around on EBAY a complete set from the US of A will cost you a lot lesss than that. My set cost around £250 (forks, yokes, bars, brake calipers, discs & mudguard), although extra for the one off front spindle to use the Sv front wheel and for the stops to be welded to the bottom yoke

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
There is a full front end I've seen but that's still £500. I'm in no particular hurry as I'm not mobile enough to be lifting and fitting heavy gear yet. Maybe by the Christmas holiday, or when I'm in the car for the snow and ice?

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
700 sunny miles this weekend, on my own up in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales
Ive come to the conclusion that whilst having a biking 'partner' or riding in groups is fun, I ride my best when i'm on my own, not trying to keep up or having to hang back, getting a sprint on when I like, taking a breather when I like and just 'doing my own thing'. The bike didnt miss a beat and im a very happy girl |
