Default ZZR1400 Shock Specs?

Im in the market for a ZZR1400 shock, as talked about here However, I have seen the google docs spreadsheet which list specs for a 2006-2008 ZZR1400 shock, but I could do with the specs for a 2010 model ZZR1400 shock. Does anyone have a link to such info?

Cheers

also looking at the spring rate calculator. a 9.7 spring is suitable for 18st rider without gear. 15st rider without gear is 8.5. both figures are calculated for a bike with a semi wet weight of 390lb.

so if your 17-19st nekit then the standard spring on the ZZR14 will be perfect. if your under 17st then you will need to get it re sprung.

i can also tell you that the pointy does not like having a stiff spring. been there, done that and its not a nice experience.

there is a big difference between the 07 and the 08.

i would say the 07 is good for a 14-15st rider while the 08 is good for a 16-17st rider

One day I'll stop talking out my ass! Not only do I have the spreadsheet and the shock info (on my PC) but could I be bothered to look? No.

I have a ZX6R shock 07/08 which is 515 according to the sheet and 10mm over stock. It feels suitable to me (between 14/15 with gear). Tbh I know its alright but wouldn't mind the feedback anyway Bibio.

confusion is zx10 not zx6.

zx14 still stands to what i said.

zx6 07-08 will be same as zx10 08 or there abouts for rider weight but the big difference is the 10mm which will be 20mm at back end. this will set the rate to a much softer area never mind the geometry changes. personally i would put longer dogbones on the bike to accommodate the difference in length as that is waaaay to much. it's a misconception that making the rear of the bike higher is better just like stiff suspension is better which in fact is bull.

what i would suggest you do is go on google and start reading up on bike geometry (pay attention to swingarm position) then come to your own conclusion as i have said all along i am no expert. i give advice and it's upto the individual whether they want to take it or not.
