Default Rust on brake disc.

Went to work on the bike Monday and was caught in some very wet weather, anyway when I got home I put the bike in the garage like I alway do. Well today I went to clean the bike and found the brake discs like this



I have never had this happen before. Is there any easy way to get it off or am
I now f**ked and need new discs

It will wear off in a few hundred yards when you ride it.Used to be quite normal on older cast iron discs.

I have cast iron discs on my beringer brake, you should see that after a few weeks away!

The discs aren't rusty - those are stainless discs, it's metal particles in the brake pads, (a process called 'sintering'), which go rusty.

Completely normal, nothing to be concerned about - will take probably the entire first time you use the brake to go away.
