As per my earlier post, I really rate the Avon Storm 3D. £85 fitted.

My 2018 AL8, is fitted with Dunlop Roadsmart 3s.

According to MCN the rear Roadsmart 3 lasted 19% longer than rivals from Bridgestone / Pirelli / Metzeler and Michelin when tested in 2016............

..........Maybe, maybe not, all I do know is that after a whopping 3400 miles on the back of my SV it's down to about 3mm

As I mentioned in the brake discs thread, can get a 20% discount on M&P stuff through ebay at the moment (last day today) so have just bagged a rear Storm 3D for £71.

I've always rated Avons on cars and bikes, I believe that Avon still develop and manufacture tyres in the UK and I think there is probably something to be said for a manufacturer that fully understands UK road and weather conditions.

I think my 2016 AL7 had those too, they only lasted 4500 miles. I was told (so it's only hearsay) that the tyres fitted as stock do not reflect the durability of aftermarket tyres with the same name, ie if you were to buy Roadsmarts they would last longer.

Cost is not a big issue as long as it is not over £100.

I don't hoon the bike so the tyre needn't be overly sporty.
Continental unless you are going to swap both.
