E.A.R. March Meat Run Questions?
Hi All,
My name's David, I joined the forum a couple of days ago. Another forum member, maviczap, mentioned the E.A.R. March meat run and said I might be able to come along which would be great, if possible. Anything involving a meat raffle sounds like a good day out. I have had a quick look in the E.A.R. forum but couldn't find anything specific about it for this year? I'm probably just being dense so my apologies if this is a pointless thread but I had a couple of questions if that was alright: 1. As a fairly novice rider would I be able to keep up or do you really need to know what you are doing with your bike? 2. Could a mate come along who rides a GSXR or is it an SV thing only? Oh, and just thought I'd chuck this in. Mine is the Silver: Pointy & Curvy.jpg Thanks! |

The previous years threads have disappeared, probably Skip the mod tidying things up. Q1. Yes, its not a knee down fest, in fact if you can ride on farm tracks & over temp wooden bridges, its a big help. Q2. Yes, GSXR's allowed I'll start a thread nearer the time. There is no 'might be able' to come along, you WILL attend! Silver is the best colour, but only if its a curvy

You'll have a good time Goose, it's a great route and if you get to the cafe early they do a nice greasy fryup
Defo not an Sv only deal, they're normally well out numbered...I'll be on either a Ktm or a Triumph

Re: E.A.R. March Meat Run Questions?
Can you guys remind me about this nearer the time as me and Mr LPH might join you. I never win anything useful in competitions (a Smurfs LP and a racing bike suitable for a 6ft man when I'm a midget spring to mind) so since I don't eat pork I'm bound to win a massive ham or a packet of sausages.

I'll certainly try to remember LPH, we can post an invite into the Essex Lounge too..
I've found 2 routes from the past, one slightly longer than the other, for reference here they are: 117 mile route 80 mile route I'd go for the longer one

If you join us from the start LPH, you can always peel off on the southern part of the route

Welcome Hopefully the Meat Run will go ahead - I have the heart wrenching decision of a day on the bike or a day with my family so will have to see nearer the time. Get on it Dickie so I can put something in the calendar

Oooh that longer route looks familiar! I think the Hornet needs to experience those roads
