Default Caberg Trip

Got one because it was cheap, fit alright and it was all the local bike shop had. And my V2 was in about 4 pieces.

Nearly bought a jusstissimawhatsit one, but it was £50 more and only in blue.

Convenient, but noisier than the caberg V2, and a little draughty.
The only annoying thing is the vision at bottom outer corners is slightly more restricted than normal lid, so you've gotta move your head further to check shoulder. Might be more noticeable because my nearside mirror is in 2 million pieces, and a sore neck.

I'll reserve judgment on this one untill I've had it a while longer...

I had one of these, and short-term they're quite good helmets. Unfortunately, the build-quality on them is horrific.

The padding inside will go flat within 2-3 months of daily wear, meaning that a helmet that was nice a snug initially ends up very loose and wobbly. Worse than this is the retaining mechanism for the visor - it's made up of a piece of plastic with a plastic pin sticking out on the inside, with the visor having several dimples down the side that the pin fits into to hold it open at various points. Over a few months the gaps between the dimples in the visor wear away so that it just flops open and closed (bad when doing lifesavers at above 50mph and visor lifts). After replacing the visor a few times the pin itself wears away meaning that even if the visor is replaced for a new one, the pin isn't long enough to seat securely in the dimples.

I had one for 2 days before the visor mechanism/flip bit broke. Never again. Hope you have better luck though.

Ok well we'll see what happens! It was 85 quid, and all that was available at the time.

Nitro flip helmets are quite nice, I'm considering buying one myself.

I had a V2, well still got one. Fit me initially but now it falls down (padding gone a little flat) but then again it is a medium and I am a small.

No issues with visor, noisey etc. Pretty OK lid for the price.

Arai Viper GT now which is comfy but for £120 the V2 was a good lid.

I bought a V2 last August for £90 and it's still my every-day lid. The first thing I noticed over the £30 FM helmet it replaced is how noisy it is
It's pretty comfy, and the lining hasn't flattened like i've heard a lot of people say. The visor still clicks nicely and stays open one click from shut up to about 80mph. The only problem I have with it now is that the seal around the sun-visor mechanism is shagged so it leaks onto my face in heavy rain.
It's going to be replaced by something new and shiny at the NEC show but for now it's adequate!

I would go along with that they are good My justimitso was good but after 11 months of every day use started to leak. Invest in a set of ear plugs. Have a viper Gt Crucified me for the first month now it fits like a glove.
