Show me your indicator upgrade
I want rid of the ugly lollipop indicators on my pointy, I quite like some of the more understated Oxford styles but can see them on a pointy in my mind so can anyone post up some pics of theirs?

Re: Show me your indicator upgrade
I had the Neptune on mine but swapped them out and put Nano s on the front and tail, they are tiny but so much brighter than the stock and the Neptune's. I'll get you a pic in a bit

Re: Show me your indicator upgrade
I had Neptune on the rear, looked good. However they are a piece of ****. Let water in, killed about 60% of the leds on both sides. On bike about 3 years. Just put originals back on. Much better.

Re: Show me your indicator upgrade
That's a shame about the Oxford Neptune's, I thought they worked quite well with the pointys lines. Maybe I could seal them up before installing them.
Yes show me pics! |

Re: Show me your indicator upgrade
Personally I think this is a case of 'The Emperors New Clothes' and are a triumph of form over function. These little tiny LEDS show as a flashing light OK, but they are too close in to look like an indicator. You need distance from the centre line of the bike to avoid misunderstandings and I haven't seen anything that does that better than the originals. Why move the odds in favour of having an accident?
If I had an accident with some of the bikes I have seen LEDS on, I would go for the defence that the indicator was inadequate for the job. I'm just sayin' - think on. All IMHO of course. |

Re: Show me your indicator upgrade
I have wondered that about the flush mount indicators which is why I preferred the neptunes as they are close to original length but the oe ones are so clumpy looking.

Re: Show me your indicator upgrade
Got the Oxford Saturns on mine. As said before, the rear ones are filled with mud so could be worth sealing before using. None of the LEDs have died yet though and mine have been on for just over a year.
