Re: Is this sort of thing really necessary at MotoGP?
I agree, I don't really see the need for these "Brolly Dollies". I quite like motorcycles and I quite like women, but I don't associate the two as the race organisers would hope I would.
But I do have to point out the assumptions and generalisations that are shown by the OP are just as bad as the ones that are objected to. Just because a lady has a model appearance doesn't always mean that she cannot twirl a spanner in anger. |

Re: Is this sort of thing really necessary at MotoGP?
I like the bikes.
I like the ladies. Given the choice...skip the movie. I rather see one of them on the back of my bike for a weekend adventure. (unfortunely I stand a better chance of winning the lottery, twice!) There for adverts mainly. But perhaps more, Just before the race, you're on the bike, waiting on the start, sweating, adreneline pumping, and talking to your own personal scantly clad umbrella girl with the best body you've ever flipping seen. Gotta be a testosterone boost for the riders as well. LPH

Five years I've been on here. FIVE! And some of you still read a post like this from me and don't realise this was tongue in cheek and I'm taking the pi55!

Re: Is this sort of thing really necessary at MotoGP?
Oh I know most are but a few seem to have mistaken me for Mary Whitehouse. Anyway, must get to work where I have a meeting to discuss arrangements for a fashion media event with 70 models. Male models that is. Personally I think making the poor men stand around looking pretty for a bunch of female fashion journalists is pure exploitation and should be banned under the human rights bill.

The poor lovelies handing out the posters had obviously had their luggage confiscated at the gates as they appear to have no access to sensible warm trousers. Or maybe some woolly tights. Mr LPH was so concerned for their well being he felt he ought to go over and check they were not suffering from hypothermia.

Re: Is this sort of thing really necessary at MotoGP?
Well Carls brolly dolly had tights on Sunday.
and the MCE girls now sport longish skirts . and them red Bob wigs keep there head and ears warm. Also nothing stopping then putting a pair of tights on anyways. I think your find they are quite used to the cold and harder than a miners when it comes to the cold. If they need warming up I'm sure some of us will step up and share body warmth.
