Afternoon canicross outing with Mabel, daughter Eleri, and a small group of friends. Cold, slow, and muddy but still an enjoyable run.

A short, late afternoon run with Mabel, and Eleri. Muddy and slippery, some of this route is quite hard to run as we have to pick our way round trees and undergrowth. Good fun though.

A rainy run through the woods on Christmas morning with Mabel and my daughter Eleri. Feels so good to get out and moving.

Going to enter the canicross Goldrush Race at Coed y Brenin in April. Should give me the incentive to get back out and run regularly.

Led a group of six of us on a really enjoyable and gloriously muddy Powys Canicross social run in the hills around Llanfyllin. Four and a half miles of hills, mud, woodland, mud, fields, mud, and some mud. It was great fun.

Out this afternoon for a short, muddy but good fun run with Mabel and Eleri.

Just entered my first race of the year, The Myddle Muddle 10k, and I'm now waiting for the date to be announced for the Goldrush 8.5 mile trail race in Coed y Brenin. This may be a busy running year for me and Mabel!

Out with Mabel, Eleri, and a friend with her dog for a local 3.5 mile loop of muddy fun and smiles this afternoon. Gorgeous day to run, the clouds had cleared and the sun was out bathing everything in that wonderful golden light we get in the afternoons at this time of the year.

Out again this afternoon for the same local 3.56 mile loop, with Mabel and a friend. Feeling a bit warmer for the first time today now that I've run.

Need to organise another run or two for later in the week. I have a couple more events I'd like to enter in addition to the Myddle run and the Goldrush. I've been enlisted for this year's Telford T50 with Shropshire Canicross and there is also a 10k I'd like to do in early April at the Brynkinalt estate. Looks like I have a very good incentive to keep up running regularly!

Out earlyish this morning for a 3.5 miler with Mabel and a friend. It's still muddy but not ankle deep as it was a short while ago. We're going to run this route once more this week and then next week we'll extend it by about a mile. I'm hoping over the next four or five weeks to get the distance up to a regular 7 - 9 miles as prep for the Goldrush race.

I like getting out to run in the morning as it sets me up for the rest of the day.
