Default One of those days

For some reason I have ended up not only doing the work but paying for parts for the lads van.

Simple job needs a new wheel bearing, so bought a replacement of eBay to save him a couple of bob. Yesterday I took the hub off and punched out the old bearing, noticed that the gator was split on the lower ball joint so off to local factors and as luck would have it. They have to order me one.

So today the bearing arrives. Hang on the number on the box don't match what I had ordered, and looking at it it is about 1/4" too big a diameter. So whilst picking up the ball joint I buys a bearing kit. Having mailed the ebay guy for his address to return said wrong part for a full refund.

So fits bearing into hub and takes off lower ball joint. Gets the new one out the box. Damm totally different size. Factors is now closed so I am going to have to wait until monday. Somebody is not going to be happy with his van off the road Monday.

Now the van is blocking the garage door on axle stands. I can't get the bike out. It is tempting to refit the knackered ball joint just to get the bloody thing out of the garage. Then again with my luck today maybe I should not be going anywhere

Oooooh, see that sympathy I had. Well, let's just see how small a ball I can crush it into and how far I can throw it out of the window.

I'm practising my sarcasm - did it work?

Does sound like you're best off in your garden with a well deserved brewski though.

If it wasn't for bad luck you'd have none at all!

Never mind some soldiers were getting married up at Rivi today. I didn't see a bride so can only imagine

A brilliant day on the roads, I went to Southport the sea breeze was lovely.

Sorry this will not be making you feel any better
