Wales anyone?
Ive fancied going to Wales for a while now but always been too scared of the when riding on my own so thought maybe itd be better for a group ride at a slower pace, maybe to Bala or somewhere round there?
Never been but have heard the roads are great Anyone with a police scanner more than welcome thought this for next weekend maybe,10th/11th Sept?

Re: Wales anyone?
I go to Wales sometimes, with friends, can't make the 10th tho, but maybe the weekend after. from Stafford, the journey to Bala is good from there. I travel at just over speed limit mostly, only been riding for a year, and worried about my own ability when going fast, and the points on the licence.

The 10th of september is becoming a bit of a nightmare for me I've got about 10 things planned for that weekend already so a rideout is a definate no I'm afraid.

Can I recomend this?
Find your way to Lake Vyrnwy (s/e of bala). The road around the lake is a blast - or it was in a car last autumn! Single track and a cafe at the dam end. Then the lane up from the Alltforgan end to Bala itself and on up to Denbigh via either the A or B roads. Varies from tight twistys to wide open "as fast as your sphincter will allow" bends through the pine forests. Newbie to the site, would love to come, but am on nights so..... dream dream dream etc

Hopefully we will be in Scotland that weekend, otherwise it would have been nice, nice roads in Wales, only ever driven them mind.

just a tip, most forces use digital radios now, encripted and non scannable. Not fair, I call foul!
