It's an amazing bit of kit, and I'll be able to connect my camera to it when I've bought the relevant part.

That's going to be an interesting photo of the day

Btw, does it have any kind of auto setup or do you need to know where to point it?
It's on order. Should be here any day. The scope is a starchaser 102 on an equatorial mount. Is cost £200 but seeing as I'll be using it too, it's not all for the lad.

It doesn't have a goto mount, although I could buy one. I thought learning the stars and how to find them would be better than just tapping some digits into a computer.

Google Skymap very useful. And if you can't find Jupiter, you're clinically blind

Riding an SV for the first time in two months since my accident, so much more fun than the Bandit although a little uncomfortable until I get used to the position again. Also the pleasant surprise of finding that the previous owner had wired the heated grips on my new SV into an ignition live so I didn't have to install Bibio's Gizmo in the cold and rain today.

My bargain jalopy got through it's mot unscathed, which is a most pleasant surprise. Couple more weeks til payday and then the SV goes in, then I'm gonna thrash the conkers off it

Cycling to a nice out of the way pub for lunch with Lady Poppy. Cosy fireside table, nice grub and well kept London Pride on tap.
