The conversation went something like -

"We're gonna give you all tickets"

"P*ss Off"

"Oh, OK then"

That was funny, including the bit where they try to get my reg off my Tax disc, like you can read anything off that smudged mess.

I love the way Westminster council harp on about how many bike bays they have. There's room for 4000 bikes apparently... Anyway this is the amusing bit. Here is a list of those bays that have locking facilities (rails or ground anchors)

* Broadway, SW1 (2 sites) - hitching rails (38 bays)
* Cateret Street, SW1 - in-ground anchors (21 bays)
* Dartmouth Street, SW1 - in-ground anchors (8 bays)
* Tothill Street, SW1 - in-ground anchors (6 bays)
* Dear Farrar Street, SW1 - in-ground anchors (25 bays)

Sounds good huh?

Yup, you've guessed it, they're all 200 yards from Scotland Yard... Like anyone is going nick loads of bikes with all those armed police wondering around!

Ah, but that only works if they actually issue the tickets in the first place.......

Which reminds me to tell Viney that I got a refund on the parking vouchers we put on his car the other week as we couldn't find any info on the parking restrictions outside my house on bank holidays. Islington council admitted that the information was somewhat lacking!

I thought traffic wardens were invented as a cheap option so highly paid coppers didnt have to waste time issuing parking tickets.Its all a bit pointless if they now need the copper to hold their hand while out wardening.Can the lot of em I say.
