Guess you mean that you can't get on the gas so quickly for fear of losing her. Or does she weigh 20stone Even two up I can usually keep up with pillionless sv's

Hardly she only weighs 8 stone but it does take the edge of the acceleration

Well...more like snigger-mao, cos it hurts my back too much to laugh!

That left a fabulous image in my mind...although it's good you didn't have a top box!

i dont think the sv is an ideal 2 up bike, the pillion seat is there for a reason but with me i couldnt wait to chuck it up the loft and put a seat cowel on. i did take a pillion shortly after purchasing the sv but the lack of power spoilt the ride.

I've been pillioning the 1000 since 03, and love it- it's not a sofa, but if you're used to it, there's no problem at all with it.

If your pillion has a real problem with the seat, send the seat off for some re-foaming etc? Bum Wraps are good for that.

I'm perfectly happy for a couple hundred miles on the back on a standard seat, I'm 5"10. Sometimes my legs can seize up, but at junctions, I just stretch (after warning rider of course!)

Maybe my rear end is too fat??!?!?!?!
