Post Identity, variants

My Bike is a Sv650s L2. Registered 2013,
Fell in Love, had to have it, but there are big gaps in my knowledge.
Hand book missing, so :-

Is this know as a pointy ?
How does this compare with other variants ?
Is there a comprehensive list of SV models ?
Anyone got a handbook for my bike ?

this takes you up to 2010. Things didn't change much until the Gladius replaced it. I can't recall what year. The latest SV appeared two or three years ago and replaced the Gladius. The first gen Sv was called a curvy due to its shape. The second gen came along in 2003 and was called a pointy.

I have the PDF workshop manual for a twin-spark-plug K7 (2007) pointy which, as mentioned, is pretty much the same as your bike. Send me a PM with your email address and I'll dig it out.

Same as mine. I think they kept the L2 model reference right up to the end of production.

I'd appreciate the workshop manual as well if that's possible.

Thanks, Tony S
