Default Novice friendly cadwell park trackday

Possibly the bestest trackday in the world.

if you've never been on a track before and fancy it then this is *the* one to go for.

http://ruffle.me.uk/cadwell

Fingers crossed I'll be there too

lol, I'm sure there will be lots of offers.

I'm normally to be seen with a horde of newbies (last year was a record, 4 newbies in our group 2 girls (NC35/Hornet6), 2 boys (CBR6,NC35)) but I'm not sure yet if I'll be there... It was my first trackday, my wifes first trackday, her cousins first trackday, four of her friends first trackdays...

On a serious note the organiser is crying out for newbies, seems everyone has got faster and faster over the years and the tiggers (aka fast group) have nearly filled up while the eyores (aka slow) are near empty (and hence telling everyone here about it). He'll be more than willing to help by either getting someone to show you the ropes or introducing you to others in the same boat!

If you have any questions pm me and I'll ask him (or give you his email address).

Hello, as a newbie myself, I was really hoping to come to this but can't make that weekend. Are there any others people would recommend this summer for a COMPLETE beginner on the track?

Thanks

Just clicked on your link, sounds like a bit more relaxed approach to track days(a good thing). Never heard of ixion before, What is it exactly? A club or company?

Ixion is a mailing list, started back in the day before forums. While nominally a 'motorcycle' mailing list the topics vary wildly.

Quote:
Ixion is a mailing list for those interested in motorcycling in the United Kingdom. It has been likened to "a group of bikers chatting down the pub".

Ixion was originally set up by Dave Edmondson in July 1990 at Queen Mary and Westfield College in East London. Malcolm Jackson at University of Nottingham took over the running in June 1993; in January 2002 Ixion went to live on a server owned by ixies; in April 2009 it moved again to another ixiowned server.

Originally called Ogri, the name was changed to Ixion in May 1996.

I'll sign up to this if they have any spaces left on the Monday before it. I'm not back from my France tour till that Monday so don't really want to book anything before I'm back.

Is it camping btw? I'm being blind and can't see it.
