SV650s 2006 model horn not working?
Hi, the horn has stopped working on my bike. I only realised this however when a car almost drove into me. I haven't checked the fuse yet but after reading the manual I don't think changing the fuse will make a difference as according to the manual, the same 10 amp fuse is used to protect the speedometer and this is still working.
Does anybody have any ideas as to why the horn isn't working? |

If an SV650 has a flat tyre in the forest and no-one is there to blow it up, how long will it be 'til someone posts that the reg/rec is duff and the world will end unless a CBR unit is fitted? A little bit of knowledge = a dangerous thing. "a deathless anthem of nuclear-strength romantic angst" |

Let the bike cool down & see if it works. Heat is a common problem for the SV horn.

whip the lead off and check for voltage with a multimeter when you 'peep' the horn. If you get voltage (around 12v) then either its a knackered horn or a dodgy earth where it mounts.

I have been told that the horn gets very hot and stops working, try moving the horn to an other place on the bike, away from the radiator.
