I was sat in Green Park last night with CMSD2 in the sunshine and we were chatting about regional meets. I said Mac was the one who would post up for a Sunday morning Essex bimble and how I'd done some good rides (and fry ups) with him but hadn't seen him yet this summer. How sad to see the news just a few hours later that he has gone.

Always great company, a proper gent with his lovely accent and big smile. I shall raise a glass this weekend in memory of a top chap.

A great man who'd do anything for anybody and when the phone rang and his number came up you knew you'd be chatting for an hour. Still riding around on a comical little 125 he left the stage while life was still giving him rapturous applause. Goodnight Mac old chap, see you on the other side.

RIP Mac, a thoroughly decent guy and founder member of the Essex Lounge

He was one of the first people I met with on here and I have many good memories of decent rideouts and Lounge/Selkent meets with him

Sad news indeed

Never met DT in real life but he always struck me as a good bloke.
