Default Any info on this SV?

Hi guys and girls,

I've spotted this SV on Auto Trader...

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...14ns?logcode=p

Does anybody know anything about this bike or the company? (Beechdale Motorcycles in Nottingham)

Regards,

Mike.

I know that bike. It belonged to Linz, the proprietor (Russ)'s wife.

See here: http://youtu.be/gARQzRf2ffQ

I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if I were in your position. Beechdale motorcycles are fantastic. I learnt to ride at the Roadcraft school of motoring (Beechdale's sister company) and I used to get my SV serviced there when I lived up in Nottingham. They were alway very reasonable and did all they could to help. Their used machines aren't the cheapest around, but they are very friendly and in my experience 100% trustworthy which is a rarity in a bike dealer!

Russ is a lovely chap who has been riding and instructing for more years than I've been alive. That bike will have been looked after impeccably

I bought my first bike from Beechdale Motorcycles, it was a GSF400 grey import.

2 problems though....

Firstly, they lied about the number of previous owners, said in the advert and in shop it had had 2 previous, but according to the log book it had had 7

Secondly, got about half way down the A1 before I noticed how choppy it felt, so I stopped off at the Honda garage in Peterborough (closed now) for a friend of mine to check it out, only for him to tell me it didn't have an air filter!!!

Called them as soon as I got the bike home and they didn't really seem to care, just put it down to never checked it, never bothered calling back about the previous owner thing as well.

Wasn't best impressed, but this was nearly 5 years ago now so it may have changed hands, you never know.

I bought a pair of heated gloves from beech dale motorcycles a while back (not quite the same as buying a bike I know) but there customer service and after sales support is absolutely fantastic! I cannot fault them at all, seem like a very genuine company and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

Here's a video review of this actual bike, like the one Thebug posted but this time by Linz herself - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psuk...e_gdata_player

Thanks for the replies peeps.

I'm looking at another bike this weekend hopefully.

But if that falls through, I'll be calling about this one.

You wont find a better bike for the money, if you want to pay £2.5k for a bike don't bother looking at any other, as mentioned Russ is a top man and the bike would not need for anything, I've seen it in the flesh its immaculate.

Were they p*ssed when they fitted that slip on?

Also I'm sure I've seen newer bikes for less.

£2.5k for an 8 year old sv with 30k miles on the clock? Are they becoming collectable all of a sudden? !
