It was a scooter (Lambretta LD) that put me off learning to ride a motorbike until I was 64. I was offered to test ride the awful thing and the first time I tried to go round a 90 degree bend I found that the scooter was scraping the road and was almost uncontrollable to a novice like me. I was riding really slowly as I was a novice and got scared so I decided there and then that riding powered 2 wheels was not for me. I was around 18 at the time.
