Default Advice on Chrome Wheel Restoration/Cleaning

Seeing as i recently moved up to the SV, My XT125 (2005) has been in my garage unused.
it needs to be sold, But the one thing holding me back is the wheels.
They were once shiny chrome, But after being rode through winter without much cleaning (my bad) they have been corroded pretty bad.
I've been going at it with autosol to try and tidy it up but so far thats proving a lot of work for a pretty patchy finish.
I'm wondering wether a re-chrome is pheasable, or wether i should start looking for another set of wheels.
Anybody have any expertise in this matter?
or anybody want an XT for the winter? The scars show it can hack it

yes you can get them re-chromed, however you'll need to get the wheel de-spoked, the rim striped and re-chromed, then the wheel re-built, not a hard job but time consuming or expensive if you get somone else to do it.

Cheers Mark.

Paint them? Could be cheaper/easier than re-chroming them.
