Streetfighter candidate?
Well today has been an horrible day. The bike is in a state. The front fairing is all cracked and the screen is smashed. Rearset has snapped and some of the back end is bent. My wrist and knees are also hurting quite a lot. Basically I ran out of talent on a bend, was heading straight for a pavement and some parked cars so I grabbed a load of front brake and went over the handlebars at about 10 mph. Bike flipped over and is a bit of a mess.
I think I'm going to streetfighter it. Will be less hassle than replacing the fairings. Last edited by radicalry00; 04-04-11 at 04:39 PM. |

Re: Streetfighter candidate?
Right fairing's cracked and scratched. Parking light's smashed and the screen is smashed. Exhaust is scrathched, rearsets snapped, mirror damaged, barends grazed grab-rail bent and undertray knackered.

Re: Streetfighter candidate?
Doesn't look too bad in that pic but the right hand fairing is cracked in a number of places and scuffed all over.

It's not that bad, be cheaper to fix than 'fighter it I think.

Re: Streetfighter candidate?
ryan your rearset hanger, mirror, grab rail and parking light mate are sorted -mirrors a bit shabby and you'd be better to swap the rubbers round with the one you've got-ain't got a screen though mate-but theres a clear one finishing on the bay you'll get for under a tenner-take your fairing off and see if you can reshape it makesure your mounts not twisted.
i'll chuck these in with your lowers mate h. |

Re: Streetfighter candidate?
Husky you are actually a legend.
A note to others; Husky's never even met me before but is sending me all the stuff I need to get the SV back on the road again. He's helped me in the past a number of times and never expects anything in return. It really does warm my heart to know that there are lads like him doing strangers who share the same interest favours for absolutely zero profit. I'm actually in shock by the offers of help I have got from some orgers. I really do appreciate it loads. Last edited by radicalry00; 04-04-11 at 05:55 PM. |
