Throttle cam problems
Hi friends & neighbours,
I have bought a 2000 SV650 that has been standing for some time and I have come across a problem with the throttle cam. I stripped the throttle cable assembly as the throttle was completely stuckand I thought it needed new cables but the cables are fine. The throttle cam (front carb) is not moving at all. I have covered it in WD40 hoping that this would free the assembly up a bit but it will not budge. The Haynes manual says nothing about stripping or cleaning so I am looking for any ideas on how to fix. Cheers, Phil |

Does anyone know what this shaft on which the throttle cam sits connects to inside the carb??

For all they cost I'd just get another set of carbs. I had 2 sets but cannibalised the second set for spares.
