Default Idle Speed is strange after a spirited ride?

Now I'm not too sure if this is new or that I have only just noticed, but after a little bit of semi-spirited riding if I pull up at lights or stop my idle speed is not constant for about 10-15 seconds.

It sort of flicks, not by a lot and the rev counter shows that it's not just my hearing, it then settles down again to a constant rev.

If I rev the bike it also does the same thing but quickly settles to the normal contant idle.

Is that normal?

Oh not an SV it is a CBR600rr7.

i had a similar thing, but that was using carbs so its probably not the same. check throttle cables are not frayed or anything.

Normal or not I cannot comment, but mine does similar.
It doesnt bother me as it returns to normal as soon as I try to pull away.

Excess fuel or maybe a slight zaust hole that opens up during the heat of a thrashing.

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust on?

My guess would be its the ecu adjusting the mixture...

same guess for me aswell, or it could possibly be a lazy lambda sensor.

Yes mate still under warranty, luckily, as the problem has just taken a turn for the worse.

I started it up on the way home and the idle was really high about 3000 rpm, thought it would settle, but even after the ride home it was about 2000 rpm, so low speed gear changes were interesting.

Can't be seen under warranty until Weds so that will make for an interesting commute over the next few days.

Anyone have a stab at what it might be?

Do they have automatic chokes for when you start them?

Might be something to do with that?
