How the hek do you get a nackered exhaust stud out?

If it's not snapped off, you can use a stud puller. Or sometimes just thread 2 M8 nuts on, tighten them against each other then back it off with the inside bolt. If you need a stud puller drop me a PM, mine are cheap rubbish but they do work

My studs came out when I attempted to undo the nuts.

Normally to remove a stud, simply tighten two nuts against each other and then use a spanner on the inside nut. I have a fancy knurled contraption that grips against the plain part of studs. Used it ok on large cylinder head studs. but the torque would snap corroded m8 type studs

tried using 2 nuts together, ended up stripping half the thread off
