Default Pointy SV chain & sprocket fit curvy?

Heya I found a chain and sprocket set on ebay for the curvy for £70 all in but by the time pay day came around there were none left except the 02 to 2007, I've emailed the seller but it's been over a week and he still hasn't got back to me =/.

Can I fit this chain and sprocket to my curvy?
As far as I know they never changed the chain or sprocket but thought I'd check just incase.
Thanks - Nicola .

not sure about pointy or curvy but naked or faired certainly makes a difference. Not so much on the sprockets but the 's' chain would be too short if you have a naked.

Yup - you're correct. The chain and sprokets are the same for curvy and pointy bikes. As Dave mentioned though naked/faired bikes have different chain lengths/teeth on rear sproket so make sure you get the correct kit.

naked 110 chain links, sprocket teeth: 15 front - 45 back
'S' 108 (IIRC), 15 - 44 (although it's a totally unnoticeable difference in the sprockets)

I've got the S.
So it doesn't matter what year of production as long as I get the S chain & sprocket?

as far as I'm aware yes. Go with a decent brand chain don't want it snapping

BandCExpress show chainsets as 99 to 08 & I reckon I'd believe what they say.
Hope so as have just bought for my K2 & were delivered next day.
