Recommend me a garage alarm.
Why? Because tonight a likely lad came marching up the drive and right into the garage, looking for any scrap metal I might want him to "recycle" for me.
He was very interested in looking at the bikes and the big red tool cabinet. I hunted him but I now have a lingering feeling that the ****'s coming back. Might just be paranoid, but still... So I thought I'd get a nice loud alarm for the garage but not one of those "all in one" jobs that you just need to smack with a hammer. So, what you got? |

Re: Recommend me a garage alarm.
My brothers got a bloody vicious Alsatian you can borrow for the night Loves ****s...for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks.
Other than that I'm no help. Sorry. |

Re: Recommend me a garage alarm.
wired into the house alarm with a 140db alarm (commercial smoke alarm sounders are also good).
Booby trap with a couple of high power hilti nail guns or flash grenades edit: Fenjer's idea of a extremely grumpy dog is very good. Ask YC I think he's arming the shed of mayhem

Re: Recommend me a garage alarm.
I have one of those Yale cordless ones from B&Q. The Siren alarm siren box is mounted on the house rather than the garage out of reach. There is a magentic sensor on the garage door, and a PIR sensor on the back wall covering the whole garage.
