Default Best way to sell your bike?

From peoples experience whats the best way to sell your bike?. I need to sell mine reasonably quick im okay for a few weeks but will need to keep moving bikes around to fit in my garage. So i thought i would put an ad on here yesterday to test the water and maybe stick it on bike trader or fleabay which im less keen on unless i do a buy it now price as an auction i will get less. link to bike details

You'll get it shifted faster and depending on the bike usually at a better price via ebay.
Cons are that 1) you have to put up with the dicks 2) its expensive 3) its nice for the bike to go to an orger.

Mine's going on ebay after a week I reckon.

Oh an since we're all doing it ' http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=135189 '

I'd recommend bike trader, I recently sold an er-5 on there. They give you quite a few different cost options. You can advertise on the web, or web/magazine, for different amounts of time. I went for 6 weeks on their website, it was sold within 3 weeks. Only got a few calls, but it only takes one person to buy it, so if it's priced fairly there shouldn't be any problems.

Ebay is a bit of a gamble, I bought my SV650 from ebay just before I sold the er-5. The guy had an auction with no reserve, which I would think would be risky? As it turned out I was happy with the deal, and I'm pretty sure the seller was quite happy. I paid £1700 for my 1999 sv650 in March this year.....it was pretty much mint condition and only covered 5.5k miles.

I'd advertise through biketrader, you don't get so many timewasters.

Worth considering a classified Ad on Ebay.

+ve: Cheap. Runs for ages.
-ve: You get a LOT of cretins.

Gumtree depending where you also OK

just try and fit the words "Canvassers will be told to f*** off" in your ad... then if anyone rings from an agency, you can ask them if they've got the ad in front of them
