Winter is coming.
Hey guys,
been a while since I posted here, but after spending the last 2 months of good weather sick, I finally started riding again a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately the weather is deteriorating, it is getting cold very quickly and should start snowing soon. What do you guys do in the winter? I live in an apartment, so I don't have garage to put my bike in. The best I can do right now is my aunt's backyard . Since I'm fairly new to riding, I wanted to ask you guys. what do you do in the winter if you don't have a garage? cover it up? unplug the battery? suck it up and ride throughout the cold season? Thanks |

Re: Winter is coming.
Ride it when you can, when you feel safe to do so; have fun with it and use it and for those days when it's just to bad or cold to face it park it up nice and safe in one of these for your aunts back yard

Re: Winter is coming.
I'm in New England, but manage to ride enough to keep the bike out of storage. I give it fresh oil before the start of winter, and have learned that chain attention is a must, or you will have rust spots in the spring. Don;t go more than 2 weeks without recoating the chain, even if the riding has not been enough miles.

5hort5, Woah I've never seen those bike safes.
Thanks for the replies. Guess I'll just ride it when it's fairly ok out and keep it under a waterproof cover at all other times. |

Re: Winter is coming.
Also don't put it away under the cover if it is wet as it will rust just as bad...unless you have a fancy breathable cover!
