Your location on a map
Looks like the old pinnable map has gone walkies, I've created a new map for the org here: https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=1203803
To add your location it is best done using a general area rather than your post code to avoid advertising where your bike is stored! I entered Norwich, UK rather than my street for example. The basic steps to add yourself on the map are: * Click 'Additions' on the tool bar and select 'Add Marker - Simple' or 'Add Marker - Detailed', your choice * Enter your forum user name/nickname (and your real forename as well would be good e.g. Kaivalagi aka Mark) * Marker type RED should be selected by default * Click the submit button I've posted in the regional section for now, if there's an uptake I'll post a new thread for more members if they don't see this one

Re: Your location on a map
I will probably repost in a general thread soon, you can always delete /recreate pins anyway

Re: Your location on a map
I clicked on this out of interest and it took me to my current location, it would work for the whole forum and not only EAR.
It would be e worth making this a general thing or even asking the admins to make it part of the Forum. |

Re: Your location on a map
Yes it will work for everyone, it centers on your estimated location...it's the reason it didn't give it a name relating to the EAR
I just started it here as we used an old one before it and that stopped working, I just posted it here for now as that's where it was being used before Making it part of the forum might mean a pro account so it can be embedded, not sure, but we can always have a stickied thread somewhere central within the forum, with the basic instructions from this first post for all We have a few pins on there already so it will give others the idea nicely Where would you like me to create a new thread for all, that can be stickied? I can also share admin rights to other email addresses, so we can have some proper admin from the site moderators maybe?

Re: Your location on a map
I concur
@Luckypants, I've posted a "Pin Your Location!" thread detailing the zeemap and it's use in Idle Banter, could you sticky it for all to see going forwards?
