What colour should I paint my SV? - SV650.org

After my recent off I was going to get the scratched panels resprayed. It is all of them except one lower fairing and part of the tail piece, so I am thinking that I might be just as well to get the whole thing re-sprayed and get the ideal colour.

Only I can't make up my mind what colour to get

. I saw a picture on here a while back of an orange SV and thought it looked great, can't find it now though. Was also thinking of maybe a nice candy blue colour, or even splash out on that fancy paint that changes colour depending on what angle you look at it.

So I was wondering what your opinions are on what colour would look good

I like the Silver K3's keep it standard.

Silver K3 and Black K5, best looking Pointy SV IMHO

Go all out for the GSXR colours like this

whatever you do dont for god sake make it into a race rep or paint it bloody gsxr white and blue or rizzla or whatever because there are way too many bikes out there that look like that. Go for a nice solid block of a decent colour and if your paying all this money to get it resprayed dont waste it by getting it put back to stock.

flip paint is a nice idea

Dark colours for the silver frame... I like gunmetal myself. And obviously dark green

If you go light the lack of contrast makes it look really wishy washy and boring, IMO.

Wheres those pictures of Chewy22's ( I think ) thou that he had sprayed a BMW Metallic Grey colours, that looked really really nice.

I'd agree with above, dont go down the race rep / GSXR look it'll look terrible and its been done to death, go for something unique if you can afford it.

Ooooh, Chewy's Thou looked gorgeous, though I'm also with Northy on the darker scheme of things - Gunmetal grey/dark silver, British Racing Green and Repsol Blue (which is blue not black so ner ner di ner ner!).

Bear in mind though that your insurance company may hike your premium if you have a race rep. Also that come resale time a more mainstream or neutral colour is more likely to sell that using that 'Burnt Orange' on the Ford Focus ST!

Agreed gixxer colours are abit over used but i still like them..BUUUTTT Chewy's ride is a beaut!! Oooozzzzes class!!!
