GEARBOX problems poping out

alreet hope some one can help me ive got a 2003 ecu s wen changing up from 1st to 2nd wen it goes past 8k revs it pops in to neautral it all so does this in 5 or 6 and goes to false neatural any one help is the box shagged ? ta for all ur help andy

Mine used to do that as well. (pointy 2004). But only in the first few weeks of owning. I would put it down to crap gear changes. It never happens anymore as i am better at riding the bike

Usually when this happens to me it's the chain needs adjusting. Or maybe I am a crap rider

Check for play in your gear change lever, and the bit that goes onto the spindle in the front sprocket housing. What ever its called. I'll call it the spindle bit.

mine is going..same symptoms...theres slight play in it..its a pressed fitting, so either buy a new one for 20bob or so, or put it on a flat surface and hit it with a large flat hammer to "repress" it until you can get a new one. Symptoms gone.

Its only a small amount of play, but it'll mess up your gear changes expecially if you're used to using a small quick foot movement as opposed to a slower but fully up clunk movement.
