Headlight problem on low beam
Hi all
Ive have a sv650 2006 and as the mornings are getting darker I am finding harder to see where I'm going on low beam. High beam is fine though. I am wondering if other people have this problem and what did they do to sort it out? new bulb ? Thanks for your time. Jono Last edited by jono878; 20-10-10 at 07:22 PM. |

Umm it's either the bulb or the battery. Check if it's main bulb. It's might just be the little emergancy bulb.
But yeah charge battery! Still crap? Change bulb! Still crap? Seek help! XD |

Re: Headlight problem on low beam
With mine it was simply that they had been set to look for Beatles on the road within 20 feet of the bike, a swift search revealed that on my S version the beam height adjusters are behind 2 small holes in the dash near the access panels for the sidelight bulbs, use a medium head cross point screwdriver and a dark country lane.
Do not set them to infinity and beyond or you will blind all the oncoming drivers, if they happen to be in a police car this would be a bad thing for your wallet. Last edited by Stonesie; 20-10-10 at 05:56 PM. |

Re: Headlight problem on low beam
they must be set wrong, the sv has some of the best headlights available on a motorbike, try adjusting the angle firstly, if that is no help, try and get some of those night breaker bulbs or HID's

Hmmm sounds like i may have a problem then. Only the lower/smaller bulb is coming on in low beam. I take it the center bulb should be on as well? |

Yep... Naked or faired?
Either way it's a H4 bulb you need. Last edited by Stonesie; 20-10-10 at 07:23 PM. |
