Fitting 47bhp restriction kit?
I have ordered a 47bhp restrictor kit for my 2005 sv650s... Just wandering if anyones fitted this themselves and has instructions for it? I've had a look round the forum and haven't found anything....
Thanks in advance |

Re: Fitting 47bhp restriction kit
Assuming it's a restriction by ECU then it's dead easy.
You need a couple of allen keys, first take the bolts off the black plastic infills just under the main seat. Then you just need to wiggle them out, they might be a little stiff. This will reveal another couple of bolts which need to come out, then the main seat will come up. Locate your full power ECU and take it out (there's a little catch on the connector part of the ECU you need to press in whilst doing this, it's also very stiff and needs a bit of encouragement!). Finally slot your new ECU (o: Check this video, does everything you need in fewer words https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXc0EcpeQpg Welcome to the org and ride safe |

I don't believe there is yet a 47bhp ECU / CDI, or it costs an absurd amount from Suzuki, I could have that wrong though.

Re: Fitting 47bhp restriction kit?
I believe it's a throttle stop fitted to the throttle bodies and washers on the inlets for the 47bhp kit, fairly simple to fit If you are mechanically minded I imagine

Re: Fitting 47bhp restriction kit?
It is a stop fitted on the throttle bodies but I can't seem to get to them..... Doesn't seem to be a 'how to' guide for this anywhere...

Re: Fitting 47bhp restriction kit?
its apparently a nightmare, I think I remember somebody saying you have to take the Throttle Bodies off to take the stop off, maybe its a similar situation to install the throttle stop?
