Got on the curvy this morning to go to work and it wouldn't start!
Lights on dash came on (neutral and fuel light) pulled clutch in and pressed starter, sounded like it sparked, but stopped turning over. Turned off, turned on a minute later and seemed to have a bit more oomph, but not enough to fire up. Rode in the rain on weds evening, but rode yesterday in the dry with no problems. Bike is stored outside under a cover overnight. Soooo, do we think the battery is dead?! ![]() |

Maybe, try testing it see what voltage you get. You may have a knackered rectifier (mine died on me). All lights came on worked fine, but egine wouldn't start. either had starter struggling to get going or just clicking when i pressed the ignition switch.
Might be worth getting a charger (if you don't already have one - Optimate 3 or 4 well worth the cash) and charge it up overnight whilst not connected |
