I read in MCN this week that Riossi's buyers have some pre-registered, zero-mileage SV thou's for £5299! And then I read the long-term test on page 28 and yer man is burning off a Rizla GSX-R1000 round Rockingham on one!

What's a boy supposed to do? Please someone talk me out of it before I become the 'proud' owner of one of the ugliest bikes on the planet.

Riossi, have sold the last one of the bikes, and ceased business on June 30th! I laughed when i saw the ad myself.

Anyhoo, the SvThou is different, and thats what you have to look at. I loike the styling.

If you want a thou with the same looks as the old SV, then get a TLThouS. Plenty around for about £3-3.5k.

If i could get a very late one, x-reg> then id have one...number plate thing you see

Totally agree that the bike is butt-ugly! BUT you don't see it when riding it and it appears to be a very good bit of kit..... Same was true of later model Ford Granadas, butt-ugly wide-mouthed frog of a thing, but a great mile-eater and very comfy inside......

What does it matter if it looks ugly but gives you what you want? (and is a bargain to boot?)
