ABBA Stand fittings
My first technical question.
Does anyone know off the top of their heads the size of the attachments? I know the fittings for the stand are 27mm but need to know the size for the frame, reason being is i managed to go for a rideout leaving behind the bobbins in the frame So my lovely friends in the engineering shop are going to machine some up for me if i can get them the measurements. Yes i could go and measure the frame holes but i haven't a clue where the tape measure is and a vernier is one thing i don't have in my box of tricks Cheers Abi |

Re: ABBA Stand fittings
I think you can buy these bits from Abba for about £15.Might be worth a call first.

Re: ABBA Stand fittings
Is there not a difference between curvy and pointy fittings?
What type is your bike BD? |

Re: ABBA Stand fittings
Ive got the abba stand and to be honest the sv fittings are a bit pants i wasnt hapy with having my bike raised with them. I sent them back to abba and got the hayabusa ones they fit so much better and the bike is more secure

Re: ABBA Stand fittings
Thats interesting to note, I had my curvy up the stand for the first time the other day and it fell off mainly due to how badly they fit. Its put a big scratch on teh frame.

I rang abba as soon as they arrived and told them that they were very bad fitment. He said to me on the phone they use them all the time and theres never been any reported issues. I just got my money back and use the ones for my dads busa, much better fitment and I swear by them, even with my bike 3ft high. |

Re: ABBA Stand fittings
To be fair, I don't see how they can fall off if they're fitted correctly. They have long pins that locate into the swingarm pivot.

Re: ABBA Stand fittings
I prefer the swingarm stand adapters from ABBA for my stand, but that's only cos I've lost a bobbin in the garage
