Default Any interest in a ride before the year is out?

As the nights are getting darker and the weather will no doubt get worse as the weeks pass... just seeing if anyone fancies a bit of a ride one weekend, date to be decided.

Was thinking of this:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&so...,1.234589&z=10

Takes in a couple of open sweeping roads where you can have some fun as well as some single-track road, the B4407 in particular is rather bumpy but great fun.

Plenty of opportunities for picture/smoke breaks if we have some awkward people who want to stop and look at stuff instead of ride...

Route can be adapted to include or dismiss roads that people suggest. It's not much in terms of miles at the moment, thought some people would prefer it this way rather than the 300+ miles we usually cover.

Been thinking similar, perhaps we can include a decent chippy stop on the ride?

Big Question.... When?

Yes but can't do this month

I've hardly ridden my bike this year - and not at all since I got back from France at the start of July, a trip to Liverpool excepted. Work issues.... and moving house. We are moving house again this weekend - into the caravan in fact until the build project is finished - so can't do this weekend and the w/end of the 18th is Triumph Live at Mallory, and the one after that is my birthday and I'd be skinned alive if I went out then, so not until the end of Sept for me I'm afraid. You'd probs want to get out before then.

Sunday 19th September is good for me, are people happy with the "small" route above (inc. horseshoe pass/ponderosa cafe as well) or are more miles wanted? Not sure of anywhere for fish and chips along the way... unless we did another Conwy run?

Better still, we could (drum roll) do both!? One on the 19th and another for when others like Ed can make it?

Make up for the lack of rides we've done so far this year
