Re: Fuel pump not coming on.
there's a connector which stops it from priming on the right hand side as you sit on the bike, check it as it's what happened to my bike

Ever heard the expression "Disaster waiting for a place to happen" You most definitely don't have the best of luck.
Sorry just your posts are all problems so far and I have a warped sense of humour------------GOOD LUCK with your repairs |

Re: Fuel pump not coming on.
The "CHEC" warning only displays for a number of reasons (those that I can think of are as follows):
1. Kill switch (even though you've checked it, it could be faulty). 2. Side stand switch & gear sensor combination - ie. in gear with the side stand down. If you're definitely not in gear, bypass the switch to see if this is faulty. 3. Tip sensor (on the K6 this is located just next to the battery). |

Re: Fuel pump not coming on.
I've a 2003 SV650 with a fuel pump problem. When you try to start it, the red FI comes on. There is no pump whine, but the bike cranks. I've checked the fuses, cleaned the kill-switch and all the connections I can find, including the sidestand, key barrel and TOS, but still nothing. It sounds like a bad fuel pump, but I tried dealer-mode, and got a C00 code.
I'm stumped - any suggestions? |
