Default Pilot jets ???

Does anyone know where i can get aftermarket pilot jets (possibly 175's) and also the 3mm washers for shimming the carbs?????
I've been reading some carb set ups off one of the links from the main page and would like to have a go at trying some different setups

cheers Hazey1275

Do you mean 17.5 piolt jets? the UK spec SV has these already Be careful when reading jetting from US sites as the carbs have differant parts, like the needles which are notched so you don't need shims persay, you only need one to give you a half step between the notches but you can use the washer above the needle for this

Here is a scan of the Suzuki workshop manual for the SV

E-02 is UK, E-33 is California and E-03 is the rest of the US

Forgive the copy of the scan, its been a well used book

Thanks for the help... i just wanted to try some different set ups with the main jets that i brought from your goodself..... Do you think its worth trying the drilled slide holes????

I was also wondering if anyone had tried running the sv with the universal k&n type cone filters?

All these things to consider whilst me bike is still in pieces

I've drilled the slide holes, finding the right bit can be a pain

Cone/pod filters are out of my league, i think it needs mega sized jets though

Huuuuuuge jets, in the 200s! Plus, with really good filters you need to modify the main air jets (these are pressed in so you can only drill them) and the float hrights as well. Hassle

Nothwind have you managed to find the doc with the rear speedo drive conversion yet? I have tried to work it out but get as far as holding the drive in one hand and looking at the rear wheel....lol

Oh, balls. Sorry, I'd forgotten. Again. Do me a favour and send me a rude PM, or I'll forget again

ive been thinking of getting universal cone filters on my sv aswell, but like others said, you need really large jets. is there any other crab that could be fitted?? going thoruhg streetfighter magazine it looks like a lot of the tuned machines in there use carbs of different bikes. any clues to which might fit and have the right jet sizes??

and also anyone know the diameter of the carbs?? although a rubber reducer could be used from the carb to the engine.
