"Spit sputter dead"
Well after 3 weeks with my SK2 everything seems fine except for now and again when ticking over and the normal short revs as you sit at a traffic light, it just "spit sputter dead" just like that and I have to start it again no problem.
When I say now and again, I mean like 3 times in 3 weeks (800 mi) There are no mods to anything a stock setup and apart from that she runs sweat as a nut. Any clues?? Carbs?? |

How long ago were your carbs balanced?

Re: "Spit sputter dead"
I'm guessing idle speed to low, set it at 1200-1300 rpm. There's a knob on the left side of the frame. Twist that.

Re: "Spit sputter dead"
Yep idle is good but the balancing could be it. Don't know when it was last done but is has had every service done by Suzuki and the last one was 15,000 and I'm currently at 20,000

Re: "Spit sputter dead"
IIRC the service intervals for the SV are every 3500miles so it might be worth geting it serviced and checking the carbs.
