Intolerance of other vulnerable road users whether they be on foot, four legs or two wheels, by vehicle drivers is something that needs to be stamped out.

In future I'll leave my AK47 and cammo gear at home when I go out for a cycle

when i used to cycle a lot and saw traffc building up behind i used to pull in and let them past, didn't hog the road like modern people in lycra, riding a bicycle that cost more than my first house did...

Also, (when you get over the name which is an instant turnoff/confusing*) the new laws the 'Killthebill' protestors are fighting are quite concerning. They were a gripe to read this morning.

*Or maybe I'm just dumb as rocks, I thought it was like 'kill the old bill (police)" not "kill the new bill of unfair restriction of rights".

Vaccination bookings ... I booked both of mine, got two texts to confirm them, and another to cancel the second appointment. So, I logged in to look at it didn't say anything, just gave me the option to cancel both. Not wanting to risk delaying it, I went along and got my first vaccination, all good so far.

Today, I log into the website to check that the second appointment is still there, and I instantly receive an e-mail saying that I'd missed my first appointment, so they've cancelled the second and I need to rebook ... but I have to book both.

So I call 119, after going in circles for five minutes on the IVR, I finally get through to someone. He can't book a second appointment for me as his computer wants to book the first too. Try calling again in 48 hours was the outcome.

I'm probably going to be sent to Wales to get my second one within the twelve week deadline now! (Not that I'd mind, if it was sunny ...)

Well don't forget that you need to use the bike for a trip to Wales. Make sure you come and say hallo!

I've found myself looking at ebikes more and more. My faithful old Raleigh is getting a bit long in the tooth and rather than keep replacing the bits that wear out I am humming and harring about taking the plunge. But, I want one that is low key, like the Ampler Stout, but there are no UK stockists right now. We'll see - I'm in no rush.

I've got an earlier version of this bike in bright orange. It might not be the coolest bike but I can pop it in the car and it was easy to store downstairs when I worked at Jessops. Hills no longer exist.

Its very useful to use for short errands and often easier than taking the car.

Getting off topic but of the ones I've worked on I've been most impressed with the Orbea and Ribble e-bikes. Very subtle with battery in the downtube and one single circular button on the top tube. Very smooth electrics too, rather than the jerky kick you get with most of them when setting off.
