Aye, to be fair I have a very fond memory riding it 7pm+ on a weekday evening on the way back from the Isle of Man. Everything just clicked, nice and smooth and the few vehicles I encountered were easily passed... but that's about the only fond one.

I've seen the aftermath of a young biker killed and a friend of mine has been knocked off not once but twice by cars on the wrongside of the road on solid whites (admittedly he commuted on it almost daily, **** knows how he's still here). I've almost been hit a few times. For the few times I actually enjoy the ride I just avoid it. Maybe apart from empty evening as you say.

Sheffield was the driest part of the journey up Dave. Blooming glad I didn't have to negotiate my way round in the rain!

If I'd had a bit more time I'd have given you a shout to meet up for a suitably socially distanced cuppa!

Evening all. Back to work tomorrow (booooo) after a nice long four day weekend.

Felt a bit odd this morning when I went in to the bank and closed down my business accounts. I went on to the payroll at my client's in April so my Ltd company is being wound down. Might go contracting again at some point but with the tax regime increasingly penalising independents and the nonsense of IR35 coming in soon I have decided to take my time deciding. Plus I can ride out the Covid nonsense better as an employee.

Phew! Long day. Eleri, (one of my daughters) and I have just shortly got home from finishing a job setting up an external wireless network for a client, followed by so necessary grocery shopping. Now sat down with a well earned cup of tea!

All Ubiquiti kit Dave, it's what we use on the community wireless broadband we have set up here in the village (no broadband down the phone lines here).

It was for clients who have a house which is let for holiday guests, and three chalets. The house has broadband via the phone lines (Infinity, so a decent speed) we set up access points and client bridges for the chalets with the house as the gateway.

Aha this makes sense. Ubiquiti's decent for the money, at one point it was offensively cheap, but still good.
