thank you Ian! my bike is now good as new. rode her to work this morning and she is fine. it must have been that pesky park light key slot. no rectifier needed!

why does a bike need its parks on with no key in it anyway? its something i have never fathomed.

anyway, its all better, battery charged, and i am full of happy once again.

I think in certain scandinavian countries where the light doesnt change muc during the day you are expected to park and leave a parking light on so others dont drive into your parked vehicle. Goes for cas too.
